UN concerned about violence in Haiti

The United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti is concerned about acts of violence and threats against judges and police in Haiti. The UN entity asks the authorities to take all the necessary measures to guarantee the safety of magistrates and judicial actors who work in difficult conditions.

It should be noted that more than 3 days after the armed attack against the vehicle of Judge Jean Wilner Morin, there is radio silence on the side of the Government of Ariel Henry.

According to our information, the Prime Minister would have visited last week the Director of the Social Assistance Fund, Edwine Tonton, imprisoned in the prison of Delmas 33 on the orders of Judge Morin.
