Three (3) alleged members of 400 Mawozo were fatally wounded in a shootout with the Police on Thursday, June 29, 2023, around 10 o’clock in the morning, in the municipality of Ganthier, located in the Croix-des-Bouquets district.

During this police operation, a modified M4 rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun were also confiscated by the Police.

It should be noted that this police intervention follows a high tension that has been unfolding since last Tuesday, June 27, on National Highway #1, where members of the aforementioned gang were setting up roadblocks, preventing the free movement of peaceful citizens.
