In a press release, the Bank of the Republic of Haiti informs that the process for the recovery of the dysfunctional SPIH and PRONAP system for about a week, is experiencing a reassuring evolution.

Without going into detail on the causes of this malfunction, the bank of banks has indicated that this problem has no impact on customer savings.

Until Monday, June 19, 2023, Haitian banks are still not connected to each other. The issue with SPIH is not yet resolved.

An internal source at the BRH informed the Editor that the bank of banks is working on a new system which should be available shortly.

The system received an alert and given its magnitude, officials made the decision to change the system according to our contact who was unable to give us more details.
