Arms trafficking in Port de Paix: the accountant of the Episcopal Church arrested
Jean Gilles Jean Mary, accountant of the Episcopal Church of Haiti, was arrested by the Police on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, in connection with the case relating to the trafficking of arms and ammunition at the Wharf of the National Port Authority (APN) involving said church.
His arrest is justified by the existence of several documents dated from 2017 to 2021 that he had signed, authorizing the disbursement of funds from the account of the Episcopal Church to the account of an international arms trafficker, actively wanted by the Central Directorate of Judicial Police (DCPJ).
For the moment, the accountant Jean Gilles is kept in custody until he is transferred to the competent authorities in the matter.
