Haitian Citizen Initiative Calls for Urgent Measures Against Violence in Meeting with Justice Minister
A delegation from the Citizen Initiative Against Insecurity (ISAKE), consisting of five members, recently met with Haiti’s Justice Minister, Mr. Carlos Hercule, to discuss the alarming rise in violence across the country.
This meeting represents a determined citizen effort to raise awareness among authorities and prompt tangible action in response to the mounting violence that is tearing through Haitian society.
The discussions centered around the immediate measures and strategic actions needed to combat the deadly violence perpetrated by armed gangs.
These groups have taken control in various regions, enforcing their own rule and paralyzing daily life, leaving the population gripped by fear and uncertainty.ISAKE voiced a strong demand for decisive, immediate measures from the government to restore order and safeguard citizens.
The organization highlighted the critical need for national mobilization to strengthen state authority and re-establish peace. According to ISAKE, only a united and determined effort can stem the wave of violence that threatens to destabilize the country.
