Police union condemns murder of director of National Police Academy

In a note published last weekend, the National Union of Haitian Policemen condemned the assassination of the Director of the National Police Academy, Harington Rigaud, on November 25, on the road to Frères in Pétion-Ville.

“The Police Institution has suffered a great loss, the country has suffered a great loss”, to use the words of the union leader.

The Syndicate denounces the passivity of the central State and the Police Headquarters, which take no measures to guarantee security in the immediate perimeters of the Academy.

According to the union’s notes, the space where these state institutions are located is considered a red zone.
