Some neighborhoods in Port-au-Prince under the control of criminals
Yesterday, Sunday, witnessed heightened tensions in the Haitian capital, particularly in several neighborhoods of Port-au-Prince marked by automatic gunfire. The affected areas include Laraque Alley, Muller Avenue, Alerte Alley, La Saline, Maya, and Bel’Air, creating an atmosphere of uncertainty among the residents.
In Laraque Alley, residents were compelled to hastily evacuate their homes, seeking refuge elsewhere. Fear and confusion prevail as the population tries to comprehend the nature and origin of these sudden outbreaks of violence.
