Two owners of a hospital in Les Cayes in the sights of justice

After the controversial death of the nursing student, Kenia Civil, 24, in Les Cayes, the government commissioner decided to close the doors of the “La Place” Hospital, for having refused to admit the student in emergency care for lack of means.

The Chief Prosecutor of Les Cayes, Ronald Richemond, also prohibited Doctor Thony Antoine Neptune and his wife from leaving the country. They are both owners of this hospital center. A decision hailed by members of the population.

It should be recalled that the patient died after the hospital refused to take care of her, for lack of being able to pay the required 4,000 gourdes, her relatives said.
