Appeal: AGD employees stop working

The Haitian Customs Association denounces the descent of the premises orchestrated by agents of the Anti-Corruption Unit at the General Administration of Customs. The ULCC wanted to inquire about the activities of the Director General.

Last week, Romel Bell was sanctioned by the American authorities after an investigation. His entry visa to the United States was revoked for his alleged involvement in firearms trafficking.

The customs employees disputed the presence of the ULCC agents; they associate it with an act of vandalism. “They sabotaged the computer system and confiscated the cell phones of some of us,” the committee members charged. As a result, they observe a work stoppage.
