Kenya is preparing to dispatch a significant contingent of police officers to Haiti as part of the multinational force, marking a crucial first phase of this initiative. According to information reported by The New York Times this Tuesday, these officers have been specially selected and have already undergone the necessary training for this delicate mission.
This initial deployment wave includes approximately 400 agents who have begun actively preparing for their mission. Additionally, an additional group of 100 individuals, including doctors and other support staff, will accompany these forces in the field, thereby enhancing their capacity to effectively respond to various situations.
Kenyan authorities have also indicated that another similarly sized group is preparing in parallel to join this initiative in the near future.
This mobilization of personnel demonstrates Kenya’s commitment to contributing to international efforts aimed at stabilizing the situation in Haiti and supporting the population in this time of need.
