Martine Moïse calls on Trump to reveal hidden files

In a bold and unexpected move, former First Lady of Haiti, Martine Moïse, publicly called on former U.S. President Donald Trump via X (formerly Twitter) to demand the declassification of documents related to the assassination of her husband, President Jovenel Moïse.
“President Donald Trump, the Haitian people and my family deserve the truth. I urge you to support the declassification of documents held by U.S. authorities regarding the assassination of Jovenel Moïse,” she wrote, reigniting attention on a case that has left more questions than answers since that fateful night on July 7, 2021.
Jovenel Moïse was brutally murdered in his private residence, an attack that also left Martine Moïse seriously injured. Despite multiple arrests and ongoing investigations involving suspects from Haiti, Colombia, and the United States, the masterminds behind the crime remain unidentified, fueling widespread suspicions of high-level conspiracies and international complicity.
Martine Moïse’s direct appeal to Trump bypasses traditional diplomatic channels, signaling her growing frustration with the slow pace of justice and the opacity surrounding critical information held by U.S. intelligence agencies. Her request also comes at a politically charged moment, as Trump navigates his own legal battles and a potential return to the White House.
Will Trump respond? And if he does, could this shift the trajectory of an investigation mired in secrecy and geopolitical intrigue? One thing is certain: Martine Moïse’s message has reignited global attention on a case that continues to haunt Haiti’s fragile democracy.
