Moïse Assassination Case: New Revelations Point to Alleged Plot and Financial Negotiations
Fresh disclosures have surfaced in the ongoing trial surrounding the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse, adding further complexity to an already intricate case.According to information reported by the Miami Herald, businessman Rodolphe Jaar claims he was introduced to Joseph Félix Badio between May and June 2021 through an intermediary.
Jaar alleges that a meeting later took place at the residence of Dr. Lalanne, where discussions reportedly focused on a plan to remove the sitting president and replace him with Supreme Court judge Wendelle Coq Thélot.
He further stated that Badio initially demanded $300,000 to support the operation, before lowering the amount to $10,000 for personal needs.
These revelations come amid ongoing disputes over testimony, particularly as statements made by John Joël Joseph continue to be challenged by the defense.
The emergence of conflicting accounts underscores the growing uncertainty surrounding the true chain of responsibility in this high-profile case.
