Police Operation in “Saint Jean du Sud”: Two gangsters killed, five arrested

On the evening of Sunday, September 2nd, law enforcement conducted a large-scale operation in the “Nan Kafe” area, the third section of Saint Jean du Sud, a territory infamously known as a stronghold of the “Lame Timanchet” gang. This intervention aimed to restore order and dismantle the grip of this criminal group on the region.

According to Joseph Estimé Dupont, the mayor of Saint Jean du Sud, the operation resulted in the neutralization of two members of this feared gang. “Two of the most dangerous individuals were killed during the assault, and five other suspects were arrested,” the mayor stated. These arrests represent a significant step forward in the fight against organized crime plaguing the area.

The “Lame Timanchet” gang is notorious for its illicit activities, including drug trafficking, extortion, and kidnappings. Local authorities hope this operation will mark a turning point in the fight against this criminal network and help bring peace to a region long under their control.
