Resurgence of Kidnappings in Port-au-Prince: Growing Fear Among Residents

In recent days, an alarming wave of kidnappings has shaken Port-au-Prince and its surroundings. From Delmas to Carrefour, including the city center, criminals have intensified their activities, spreading fear among the population.

On Sunday, July 7, a couple was abducted on Christophe Avenue. Thanks to a swift intervention by the National Police, the wife was freed. However, the kidnappers managed to escape with the husband, leaving the family in shock and anguish.

Unfortunately, this incident is not isolated. Numerous other similar cases have been reported, highlighting the urgent need for a strengthened response from authorities to combat this scourge. Security remains a major concern for the residents of Port-au-Prince, who live in constant fear of being the next victims.
