The MENFP believes that the school must be safeguarded and preserved at all times

The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP in French) says it takes note of the various calls from educational institutions and different sectors of the population calling for a safe climate and a better framework to facilitate the movement of schoolchildren. , parents and teachers for the start of the school year.

The MENFP recognizes that the first week of the 2022-2023 school calendar starting on October 3 will be difficult for the relaunch of school activities in several places in the country and expects a gradual return to school, we read in a note.

Thus, he announces that this subject was brought to the attention of the Council of Government on October 2, 2022, which undertakes, once again, to create an appropriate security framework and an adequate system to facilitate the movement of the population. in general and schoolchildren in particular.

The MENFP takes the opportunity to call for respect for the “right to education of all children in all circumstances”, recognized by international conventions ratified by Haiti. The school, being a public good, must be safeguarded and preserved at all times. It is up to all actors to contribute to it for the good and the future of our children, the note concluded.
