The United States remains at the side of Haiti, assures Antony Blinken
On the occasion of Haiti’s Independence Day on January 1, the American Secretary of State Antony Blinken renewed the commitment of the United States to support Haiti.
The American Embassy in Haiti, in a press release, declared: “On behalf of the Government of the United States of America, I congratulate the Haitian people as you commemorate the long history of independence of your country and that you celebrate the the beginning of a new year. »

To combat the misery that ravages the population, humanitarian aid has gone to the most affected areas, where there are many Haitians who are food insecure, according to the note from the embassy. On the other hand, they say that several health aids have arrived to help fight against the spread of cholera in the country.
“The United States remains firm alongside Haiti as the country works to restore security, the rule of law, democratic institutions and economic stability,” the note concluded.
