Three Police Officers from UTAG Killed in Delmas 18 by Armed Gangs

Sunday evening in Delmas 18, a deadly attack by armed gangs resulted in the deaths of three officers from the (UTAG). The officers, Fermetus Emelin, Clovis Peterson, and Piton Wilkens Jean Junior, lost their lives in the line of duty, leaving the community in shock and sorrow.

The National Police Union of Haiti (Synapoha) confirmed the tragic news and reported that another officer was injured during the incident. Furthermore, an armored police vehicle was set on fire by the assailants, highlighting the escalating violence in the area.

As of 6:50 PM, automatic gunfire continued to be heard around the Airport Junction, where fierce clashes between the police and the criminals were taking place. The situation remains critical, and residents are on edge, worried about their safety.

This incident underscores the increasing threat posed by armed gangs in Port-au-Prince and the significant challenges faced by the Haitian police force. Authorities are calling for urgent action to restore peace and security in the capital.
