UN Expresses Deep Concern Over Rising Gang Violence in Haiti

The United Nations team in Haiti has voiced serious concerns over the escalating violence caused by armed gangs across the country. In a statement released on social media, the UN condemned the ongoing attacks and called for immediate action to end the growing wave of terror.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Haiti (OCHA Haiti) has urged all parties involved to break this vicious cycle and put a stop to the uncontrollable spiral of violence that has plunged the nation into chaos.
Gang-related clashes, kidnappings, and attacks on civilians have intensified in recent weeks, worsening an already dire humanitarian crisis. Thousands of families have been forced to flee their homes due to the relentless violence, while security forces struggle to regain control of the situation.
Despite repeated warnings from international organizations, tangible solutions remain elusive. The Haitian people, trapped in this daily nightmare, continue to wait for decisive action to restore stability and security. Will the UN’s words be followed by concrete measures, or will Haiti be left to fend for itself once again?
