A deputy prosecutor charged with serious fraud…

In a report published by the National Network for the Defense of Human Rights, they denounced the attempt of the deputy prosecutor of Port-au-Prince, Jeanty Souvenir, to free two alleged assassins.

The human rights organization takes the opportunity to request the opening of an investigation into the behavior of the prosecutor.

Gabriel François, 86, Amos Edmond and his son Signoly Edmond, ended up in the civil prison of Port-au-Prince for murder. According to RNDDH, deputy prosecutor Jeanty Souvenir said he had taken the 2 defendants out of their cells to confirm their presence in the penitentiary.

Also according to the National Network for the Defense of Human Rights, Jeanty Souvenir ordered the release of the people.
The commissioner received US$10,000 to fraudulently facilitate the release of the detainees.
