Carrefour: three dead including a policeman

The town of Carrefour, located at the southern exit of Port-au-Prince, experienced a day of tension, Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Bursts of automatic weapons were heard.

Police and armed civilians clashed. At least three people were murdered, including policeman Frantzy Occil, a police source reported.

Videos showing civilians armed with assault rifles marching through the streets have been widely circulated on social media.
