Haiti receives four armored vehicles from Canada to fight gangs
The national police received, this Saturday, a first batch of equipment ordered by the Canadian government to fight against armed gangs in the country. Only 4 of the 18 tanks arrived, according to a government source.
Other materials, such as weapons and ammunition, are not included in this first batch. A new shipment is planned for next November, said a source.
Contrary to what was announced by some media, the presence of Canadian soldiers was not observed on board the plane. Only technicians assigned to the preparation of police officers to handle armored vehicles made the trip.
