MIKABEN died in Paris
The singer and producer, Michael Benjamin said Mikaben died this Saturday, following a heart attack, reported his relatives. The artist gave a performance in Paris when CARIMI was in concert.
According to Kafe Kreyol – TV’, Mikaben (Michael Benjamin) was born in 1981 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Son of the famous singer Lionel Benjamin, Mikaben was raised in a musical environment, and very early on, introduced to the piano, guitar, bass, and later the drums.
At the age of 15 Mikaben wrote his first song, he was passionate about music. He had not stopped writing musical texts during his college studies in Canada in 1999. From Montreal, Mikaben participates in an annual song contest organized by TELEMAX, a Haitian television channel. The song “Nwèl Tristès” (Sad Christmas), in fourth position, won the hearts of the Haitian public.
