Haitians celebrated 37 years since the end of the Duvalier dictatorship

Day of march in the streets of the Haitian capital this Tuesday, February 7, 2023, on the occasion of the date marking 37 years since the end of the dictatorial regime of the Duvalierists.

Several socio-political organizations took to the streets on Tuesday, February 7. They castigated the decision of the government of Ariel Henry to install the High Council of the transition.

Gathering in front of the French Embassy, the protesters walked along the road to Lalue, passing by Christ Roi, to arrive at the Carrefour de l’Airport.

They denounced the high cost of living, the growing insecurity that plagues the country.
