End of Transition under Ariel Henry Set for February 7, According to EDE

The political transition led by Prime Minister Ariel Henry is set to conclude on February 7, as announced by Claude Joseph, President of the Strategic Council of the EDE party. During a press conference held this Tuesday, Claude Joseph declared the deadline, stating, “7 Fevriye 2024 pa gen wout pa bwa” (February 7, 2024, there is no turning back).

This strong message from the political leader underscores the EDE party’s determination to bring an end to the transition under Ariel Henry’s leadership.

In response to this, the EDE party plans to launch a continuous national mobilization from that date onward, aiming to exert pressure for Ariel Henry’s departure. This announcement comes amid ongoing political tensions in Haiti, marked by protests and calls for changes within the government.
