In a welcome turn of events on the night of January 19th, a ray of hope illuminated the dark skies as the six nuns of the Saint Anne Congregation, who were abducted in Port-au-Prince, were freed this Wednesday. This news brings joy not only to the religious community but to the entire Haitian population.

The six nuns, who were kidnapped just five days ago, have been found safe and sound, putting an end to the anxiety that weighed heavily on the congregation and its followers. Their abduction had triggered deep emotions throughout the country, prompting calls for the immediate release of the nuns.

Furthermore, the driver of the vehicle transporting the sisters has also regained his freedom. He was abducted simultaneously with the nuns, but authorities have not yet provided details regarding the circumstances of his release.
