Five BSAP agents murdered by police officers and several weapons seized
A devastating attack targeted the Brigade for Protected Areas Security (BSAP) this Wednesday at La Boule 10, in the heights of Pétion-Ville, Haiti. The incident resulted in the tragic loss of life of at least five BSAP agents and the apprehension of several others.
BSAP agents Zéphyrin Daniel, Mackendy Veillard, Dorvil Jean Fontange, Chrisner Désir, and Clersaint Thomas tragically perished in this violent assault, leaving behind shattered families and mourning colleagues. It is imperative to underscore that the alleged perpetrators of this attack are Haitian police officers.
Hervé Lanio, Paul Sindia, and Clerty Clernius have been taken into custody by law enforcement, marking a significant development in the investigation of this appalling incident. Additionally, authorities have confiscated an array of weapons, including an M4 rifle, two twelve-gauge shotguns, an M14 rifle, a 9mm caliber pistol, and a .38 caliber revolver.
