Temporary Suspension of Routine Services at the US Embassy in Haiti

Temporary Suspension of Routine Services at the US Embassy in Haiti

The US Embassy in Haiti announced today that it will temporarily suspend its routine services due to a staffing reduction. This decision will have a significant impact on visa issuance, both for immigrants and non-immigrants, leaving many individuals waiting for their travel documents.

The temporary suspension of routine services means that applicants will need to retrieve their documents at the designated DHL office as a pickup location. This alternative is intended to minimize the disruptions caused by the reduced staffing and ensure that already approved visas can be delivered to applicants as quickly as possible.

The US Embassy in Haiti understands the concerns of applicants eagerly awaiting their visas and will make efforts to reinstate routine services as soon as possible. In the meantime, applicants are encouraged to stay informed by monitoring the Embassy’s communications for updates regarding the resumption of normal services.
