The Prime Minister, Ariel Henry, salutes, this Thursday, January 12, 2023, the memory of the victims of the earthquake of January 12, 2010, on the occasion of the 13th commemoration of the said earthquake.
Ariel Henry took the opportunity to recall that the unity, reconciliation, reconstruction and socio-economic recovery of the nation constitute the finest and most vibrant tribute that we can pay to our victims.

“May this devastating earthquake of January 12 inspire us and once again show us the path of solidarity, fraternity and real change for the benefit of our Fatherland,” tweeted the head of government.
Remember that the tremors of January 12 left between 200,000 and 230,000 dead, nearly 300,000 injured and around 1.5 million homeless, not to mention the material damage, estimated at just over $14 billion.
