The National Union of Haitian Police Officers has expressed its satisfaction following a large-scale operation carried out against the “Gran Grif” gang last weekend in Liancourt. According to the coordinator of the labor organization, Lionel Lazarre, several dozen alleged criminals were eliminated during violent clashes with law enforcement officers.
This operation clearly demonstrates the authorities’ ability to put an end to gang activities, provided they have the appropriate resources, emphasized Lazarre.
The police operation in Liancourt has been a significant success in the fight against organized crime prevailing in certain regions of the country. According to information provided by the union, police officers engaged in confrontations with suspected members of the notorious and dangerous Gran Grif gang. Numerous alleged criminals were neutralized during these clashes, dealing a severe blow to crime in the region.
