Haiti – Humanitarian crisis: the FAO is concerned
This Friday, all humanitarian actors, including the FAO, are meeting at the UN headquarters to sound the alarm for Haiti. In a press release sent to our editorial staff, FAO indicated that this meeting aims to alert member states to the food insecurity situation in Haiti.
The Minister of Planning and External Cooperation of Haiti, Mr. Ricard Pierre, the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary General, Mrs. Ulrika Richardson and Mr. Guangzhou Qu Director of the United Nations Food Organization Liaison Office and agriculture in New York, will participate on June 16, 2023 in a special meeting convened by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations in New York.
