Death of an executive of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti after being hit by projectiles during an attempted kidnapping last Saturday in downtown Port-au-Prince. The victim is identified as Éric Casséus.
This executive employee was to retire on March 31 after 42 years of work at the Central Bank. The Board of Directors of the Bank, in a note, expresses the wish that justice be done to the family of Mr. Casséus.
Everyone notes the bitter failure of the national police in the fight against organized crime. However, it should be noted that the Prime Minister called the army accompanied the police.
