KAD decries presence of Presidential Council observers within the institution

The Kolektif Ayiti Douvan (KAD) has vehemently criticized the presence of observers from the Presidential Council (CP) within the very institution, thereby stirring up a wave of dissent within the Haitian political landscape. Mr. Rolex PIERRE, the National Coordinator of KAD, has denounced this practice as a blatant violation of the fundamental principles of neutrality and independence.

Faced with this situation, Mr. PIERRE has expressed his indignation, underlining the imperative necessity for observers to maintain complete neutrality and independence from the entities they are observing. He declared, “The presence of CP observers within the CP itself constitutes a major contradiction to these essential principles.”

Urging action, the National Coordinator of KAD has called upon other civil society groups and political entities in Haiti, not represented within the CP, to unite in forming an independent observation structure of the Presidential Council’s actions. According to him, such an initiative would ensure a more transparent and impartial monitoring of the CP’s activities, a crucial necessity in the current political context.
