Carrefour-Feuilles: Over 50 Deaths Revealed by RNDDH

A wave of unprecedented violent armed attacks has plunged the Carrefour-Feuilles neighborhood into chaos from August 4th to 16th, resulting in the deaths of a minimum of 54 individuals, including two police officers. The attacks, orchestrated by an armed group operating from Grand-Ravine and led by “Ti Lapli,” have also left numerous people injured and forced thousands of residents to abandon their homes, according to a report by the National Network for the Defense of Human Rights (RNDDH).
The period spanning from August 4th to 16th will remain imprinted in the memories of Carrefour-Feuilles residents as a time of terror and devastation. The attacks carried out by the armed group under Ti Lapli’s leadership were of a shocking and devastating nature, leaving behind a tragic toll in terms of human lives and material destruction.
According to information provided by the RNDDH, a minimum of 54 people have lost their lives during these attacks, among them two police officers who were on duty to protect the community. Numerous other residents were wounded, some severely, while others were compelled to flee their homes to escape the violence.
