Haiti: Kenyan delegation Arrives

An assessment mission from Kenya arrived in Haiti this Sunday aboard flight AA 819, marking the beginning of an international initiative aimed at tackling the escalating power of gangs that have plunged the country into an atmosphere of terror.

Comprising of over 20 members, this delegation has set its objective to meet with senior Haitian officials over the next three days, with the hope of gaining a better understanding of the current situation and contributing to the restoration of peace.

According to a government source, the Kenyan assessment mission was deployed in response to the alarming situation prevailing in Haiti, where armed gangs are gaining ground and endangering the citizens’ security.

In recent months, numerous residents have been forced to flee their homes due to the violence stemming from clashes between different criminal groups. Faced with this crisis, the Haitian government has sought international assistance to restore order and tranquility.
