As promised, the National Police began facilitating the gas distribution operation at the Vare Terminal today, Tuesday, November 8. There are several gas tankers that have come out on a large police escort to fill the pumps that must start distributing them to consumers in the coming days.
This result is the result of many battles between the police and armed groups who think they could still hold this area hostage. Thanks to the new armored vehicles ordered by the Haitian State and which have strengthened the operational capacity of specialized units such as SWAT, UTAG, UDMO, CIMO, BOID, BRI/DCPJ, the police have regained control of this space. The heavy duty unit of the PNH has been working hard over the last few days to plug the holes dug by the bandits to prevent the gas from escaping.
We remind you that the police completely destroyed the tractor that the bandits used for this and the operator who used to drive it died in the exchange of gunfire during the operation.
