Léon Charles and other diplomats recalled

Several Haitian diplomats in the United States of America have been recalled by the Haitian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They are Léon Charles, Eloune Doréus, Marie-Claude Malbranche who has been accredited in the USA since 1990 and Sony Elias.

According to a source at the MAE, some of these diplomats should wait for their recall fees before returning to the country, but as far as Léon Charles is concerned, he could enter Haiti as early as this Friday.

Remember that the former Haitian ambassador to Washington, Edmond Bocchit, was dismissed on suspicion of corruption.

Note, after the printing of 14 passports at the Embassy of Haiti in Washington on September 6, 2021, a public holiday in the USA, a commission of inquiry was set up. According to the report of this commission, the passports were printed via Roody Julien’s account.
