Moïse Assassination Trial: Key Witness Reveals Funding Network Behind the Plot
The U.S. trial connected to the assassination of Jovenel Moïse entered its sixth week on Monday, marked by significant testimony shedding light on the financial underpinnings of the plot.
On the stand, Rodolphe Jaar, also known as “Dodof,” testified as a cooperating witness. He stated that he contributed more than $150,000 to support the operation.
According to his account, $80,000 was allocated to bribe members of the USGPN, $30,000 was directed to the CAT Team, and $10,000 was handed to Joseph Félix Badio. Jaar also admitted to supplying weapons.
However, he clarified that neither he nor John Joël Joseph was part of the convoy that carried out the attack on the night of July 6–7, 2021, reinforcing the organized and transnational nature of the conspiracy.
