The National Police of Haiti, as part of an operation carried out early this Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Poste Marchand (Port-au-Prince), confiscated two (2) automatic weapons (AR-15 model) and two (2) vehicles.
The occupants of the vehicles fled under pressure from the police officers of the West Department 1 police stations, mobilized to intercept them following an alert launched by the Intelligence and Operations Center (CRO).
They left behind their balaclavas and the two vehicles including a Mitsubishi DID, registered AA-40596 and a canter belonging to the Town Hall of Port-au-Prince.
The latter was taken by force by the thugs who were trying to escape but had to abandon him under the heavy fire of the police, determined to arrest them according to the first information collected on the spot.
It should be noted that in recent days, armed bandits have tended to use vehicles bearing plates from public or private institutions to commit acts of banditry, in particular kidnapping.
