The price of gasoline will increase to 570 gourdes, announces the government…
Pending the date of entry into force of the new prices for petroleum products, the government published the new tariffs this Wednesday, September 14. The price of gasoline increases to 570 gourdes, diesel to 670 and kerosene to 665 gourdes.
It should be noted that gasoline is subsidized to the tune of 158 gourdes, according to the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Ricardin Saint Jean. Diesel will no longer be subsidized, the minister said. No date has yet been set for the entry into force of these measures.
However, the country is experiencing a new day of mobilization. Traffic is paralyzed, burning tires are erected everywhere, especially in the capital where the roads are completely blocked.
