Alix Didier Fils-Aimé Calls for Unity During Mass for Peace in Haiti
Following the Mass for Peace in Haiti held in Rome on May 9, Haitian Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé thanked the authorities of the Holy See for organizing the special celebration dedicated to Haiti.
In his remarks, the head of government reaffirmed Haiti’s commitment to restoring security, strengthening national unity, and preparing inclusive elections aimed at achieving lasting stability. He also highlighted the importance of interreligious dialogue and praised the Catholic Church’s role in education, healthcare, and social assistance across Haiti.
The Prime Minister further emphasized the contribution of the Haitian diaspora to national reconstruction and called for stronger international support, including the organization of an international solidarity conference for Haiti.
