Haiti: Daniel Foote denounces American hypocrisy after a press release from the embassy

The former American special envoy to Haiti, Daniel Foote, has denied out of hand the statements of the Embassy of the United States about the recent demonstrations organized, for a week, almost throughout the country.

In a tweet, Daniel Foote believes that with this statement the hypocrisy is remarkable. “They (US authorities) have installed Ariel Henry who has done nothing in 14 months…now they condemn desperate people who demand change,” we quote the tweet.

Note, the Americans call on Haitians to express their opinions in a peaceful manner by respecting humanitarian actors and law enforcement and by allowing Haitians in need to have unhindered access to food, water and medical care.
