Antonio Guterres favors a “robust force” to fight gangs in Haiti

During an interview with Radio France Internationale and France 24, the Secretary General of the United Nations did not hide his great concern at the degrading socio-political situation that the country is experiencing at the moment.

Antonio Guterres believes that gang activity is not a political movement, however he recognizes that political and economic actors infiltrate it.

Antonio Guterres is in favor of a “robust force” that is able to put an end to banditry while emphasizing the strengthening of the Haitian police through training and appropriate equipment.
