OAVCT and Ministry of Health Explore Partnership to Strengthen First Aid Services Nationwide

Haiti’s Office of Third-Party Vehicle Insurance (OAVCT) and the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) are considering a strategic partnership aimed at improving first aid services in OAVCT offices across the country.

As part of this initiative, OAVCT Director General Me Jocelin Pierre met on Tuesday with MSPP Director General Dr. Gabriel Timothée to discuss the framework of a collaboration designed to enhance healthcare support within the institution’s nationwide network.According to OAVCT officials, the proposed partnership seeks to improve the supply of medications, medical equipment, and other essential materials needed to provide first aid services to both employees and users of the institution.

During the meeting, both parties reviewed potential mechanisms that would facilitate the distribution of these critical resources. The MSPP welcomed the initiative and expressed its commitment to supporting OAVCT in bringing the project to fruition.Dr. Margareth Delima, head of OAVCT’s Medical Department, stated that the institution’s various offices will soon be equipped with medicines and first aid supplies to better address the immediate needs of staff and the public.

Through this effort, OAVCT reaffirmed its commitment to improving public services and promoting the well-being of citizens. The planned collaboration with the Ministry of Health represents a significant step toward expanding access to basic healthcare services and strengthening emergency response capabilities within public institutions.

Both organizations have agreed to continue discussions in the coming weeks to finalize the terms of the partnership, which is expected to benefit thousands of Haitians who rely on OAVCT services throughout the country.
