Police operation: 6 hostages released in Croix des Bouquets
Six (6) hostages including a French citizen were released, this Thursday, August 4, 2022, during an operation carried out, in Terre-blanche (municipality of Croix-des-Bouquets), by the Police in the stronghold of former “Kòlèg” gang leader fatally injured on Wednesday August 3 in exchanges of fire with the police.
These people were sequestered in a house belonging to the former powerful gang leader “Kòlèg” who was also a former influential member of the criminal organization “400 Mawozo”.
Operations aimed at the definitive dismantling of gang networks operating in the neighborhoods of Croix-des-Bouquets and the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince will continue in order to track down these bandits and kidnappers to their last entrenchments.
