Haiti receives three oxygen generators


In collaboration with the Haitian Ministry of Health, the U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince announces the arrival and donation of three oxygen generators to the Government of Haiti. The oxygen generators are being provided by the U.S.

Department of Defense Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) Humanitarian Assistance Program (HAP). SOUTHCOM’s humanitarian assistance and disaster relief has provided a variety of ongoing assistance to the Ministry of Health and Department of Civil Protection.

The Ministry of Health identified that the oxygen generators will be best utilized at the University Hospital of Peace and State University of Haiti Hospital, Rue Monseigneur Guilloux in Port-au-Prince; and also the Hospital Saint Nicolas of Saint Marc. These generators will quickly be put into operation to support local hospitals with their oxygen needs. The three generators are valued at a total of $500,000.
