Haiti PM Addresses UN Security Council, Outlines Key Priorities
Speaking before the United Nations Security Council on Thursday, Haitian Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé presented his government’s three main priorities: restoring security, advancing economic and social recovery, and organizing credible elections.At the outset of his remarks, the head of government reaffirmed that rebuilding public trust in democratic institutions remains a central objective.
He emphasized the need for coordinated national and international efforts to address Haiti’s ongoing challenges.
Fils-Aimé also highlighted recent diplomatic progress with the Dominican Republic, noting that bilateral relations are increasingly based on mutual respect.
Concluding his address, he delivered a message of resilience: “Haiti resists, Haiti rises, Haiti will live.”
