Washington Demands Results from Haiti’s De Facto Leader

Following high-level talks with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Haiti’s de facto Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé is facing increased diplomatic pressure.

The message from Washington is direct: deliver measurable progress.A statement released by the State Department, interpreted by local outlet Métronome, signals a clear expectation Haitian authorities must move swiftly toward concrete political and institutional outcomes to close the current transition phase.

With patience wearing thin, international partners are now pressing for immediate, visible results from the leadership in place.
